watercolor/gouache I have so many favorite Alice moments its hard to choose, but the pool of tears stands out among them.
Haven't you felt like you've cried till you might run out of tears? swimming in tears ...and I adore how Alice just sort of sucks it up and continues willing herself not to cry. Something all children must learn confronted with the absurdities of the world. Such a brave little adventurer.
